A heavy rain warning has been issued for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Kadavu, Moala, and the Southern Lau group. The Fiji Meteorological Office reports that a trough of low pressure, accompanied by cloud and rain, is expected to approach the country from the west, impacting several areas starting Thursday. Heavy localized rainfall could result in flash flooding in low-lying regions. The Fiji Met also indicated that communities, businesses, and low-lying areas that are prone to flooding may experience localized flooding.
