A heavy rain alert has been issued for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Kadavu, Moala, and the Southern Lau group. The Fiji Meteorological Office has announced that a low-pressure trough, along with associated cloud and rainfall, is expected to approach the country from the west, beginning on Thursday. There is a risk of localized heavy rainfall, which may result in flash flooding in low-lying areas. Additionally, the Fiji Meteorological Office warns that communities, businesses, and regions prone to flooding may experience localized flooding as a result.
