After achieving two convincing victories against Tahiti and Tonga, the team, led by coach Jerry Sam, faced a formidable opponent and found themselves trailing 5-0 at halftime.
Koleta Likuculacula managed to score Fiji’s only goal in the second half, bringing her total to four goals across three matches.
Following this challenging game, Fiji will take a break to recuperate, while New Zealand is set to compete against the Solomon Islands on Thursday.
