Fiji FA Honors Legacy: Supporting Families of Former Football Stars

The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) provided $500 cheques to three families of former national players during the awards presentation for the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings Veterans Tournament held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Sunday.

The beneficiaries, Semi Tabaiwalu, Kini Tubi, and Hendry Dyer, received this financial support as part of the association’s commitment to assist the families of former players, particularly in funding their children’s education.

Fiji FA stated that this initiative is part of its social responsibility program aimed at honoring the contributions made by past players and supporting their families.

Rajesh Patel, the president of Fiji FA, highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring the efforts of former players, reinforcing the association’s dedication to ensuring that these individuals are not forgotten and that their impacts are acknowledged.

The funds for this support come from the RC Manubhai/APCO Coatings International Veteran’s tournament, with the proceeds specifically allocated for the educational needs of the children of former players.

The players expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided by the association for their families.
