The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Awards Night is set to make a much-anticipated comeback after a three-year break. This year, a total of 14 prestigious awards will be presented, supported by a new partnership with Extra Supermarket, which promises to enhance the festivities surrounding the event.

Fiji FA CEO, Mohammed Yusuf, emphasized the significance of the awards in fostering unity among the football community and acknowledging the hard work and achievements of individuals and teams in the sport. “The awards night aims to bring the football fraternity together after a three-year hiatus to highlight the successes and commitment of clubs,” said Yusuf.

The event will recognize the outstanding contributions of players, coaches, teams, officials, and volunteers across Fiji’s football landscape. Yusuf has urged all 20 affiliated clubs of the Fiji FA to put forward nominations for their dedicated members, encouraging widespread participation to ensure that all deserving individuals are honored during the awards night.

He also announced the introduction of several new award categories, showcasing the varied contributions within Fiji’s football scene. The awards to be presented include categories such as Male and Female Footballer of the Year, Young Footballer of the Year (Male and Female), Futsal Player of the Year (Male and Female), Team of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Elite Player of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.

The Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 1 at Crown Plaza Hotel in Nadi.
