Fiji Explores Wellness Tourism with Spiritual Leader’s Insight

Acting Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka had a meeting with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Suva yesterday, where they explored the idea of Wellness Tourism as a way to expand Fiji’s market. Gavoka expressed gratitude to Gurudev for his visit and for promoting messages of goodwill and prosperity.

The discussion also highlighted various social challenges facing the youth today, including drug abuse and the irresponsible use of social media.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, an Indian Guru and spiritual leader from Papanasam, Tamil Nadu, is the founder of the Art of Living Foundation. Earlier in the day, he met with President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the State House.

President Katonivere recognized Gurudev’s philosophy for its ability to transcend traditional divides, fostering unity among diverse individuals and promoting shared human values. In honor of his valuable contributions to Fiji and humanity, the President presented Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with the Officer of Fiji medal, acknowledging his distinguished service.
