The Ministry of Education has reported that the Fiji Eighth Year Exams achieved a pass rate of 69 percent this year, a slight increase from last year’s 67 percent. This positive trend reflects the hard work and dedication of both students and educators.
Over the course of the exams, a total of 18,968 students participated across 712 examination centres. The results are provisional for a period of 30 days, allowing students the option to request a mark recount at a nominal fee of $5 per subject or a remark for $25 per subject.
Students can view their results online at www.examresults.gov.fj, where they will need to enter their unique examination identification number along with their personal credentials. For those who have trouble accessing their results online, they are encouraged to visit their respective schools or District Education Offices beginning tomorrow at 8 AM.
Aseri Radrodro, the Minister for Education, congratulated all the students and expressed gratitude toward parents, guardians, teachers, school management committees, ancillary staff, and all stakeholders for their contributions to students’ educational achievements.
This year’s increase in the pass rate is a promising sign for the future of education in Fiji, highlighting the collective efforts of all involved in the educational journey. It is a moment to celebrate successes and build on them for even greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
