The Ministry of Education in Fiji has reported a notable improvement in the pass rate for the Eighth Year Exams, achieving a 69 percent success rate this year, up from 67 percent last year. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of all involved in the education system.
A total of 18,968 students participated in the exam, which was held across 712 centers. Currently, the results are provisional for a period of 30 days, allowing students who wish to have their marks reviewed the opportunity to request a recount at a fee of $5 per subject or a remark at $25 per subject.
Students can easily access their results by visiting the official website, www.examresults.gov.fj, and entering their unique examination ID and personal credentials. For those who experience issues with online access, assistance will be available at their respective schools or District Education Offices starting tomorrow at 8 a.m.
Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, expressed his congratulations to students along with gratitude towards parents, guardians, teachers, school administration, and other stakeholders for their contributions throughout the educational journey. Their collective efforts continue to play a crucial role in the academic achievements of the students.
This increase in pass rates signals a positive trend in the educational outcomes in Fiji, fostering hope for even greater improvements in the future. With ongoing commitment, students can look forward to more support and resources that will help them succeed.
