Fiji achieved its second consecutive victory in the OFC Futsal Women’s Nations Cup in the Solomon Islands today, decisively defeating Tonga 4-0.

Fiji’s team, led by coach Jerry Sam, started strong after their opening match, where they secured a 2-1 win over Tahiti. They opened the scoring just ten seconds into the game when Sofi Diyalowai took advantage of a defensive error from Tonga, confidently shooting past goalkeeper Kalolaine Topui.

Despite the early setback, Tonga managed to keep the scoreline at 1-0 until halftime. However, Fiji came back even stronger in the second half, adding three more goals, with contributions from Diyalowai, Koleta Likuculacula, and captain Unaisi Tuberi.

Both teams will enjoy a day of rest before Fiji faces New Zealand and Tonga takes on the host nation, the Solomon Islands.
