In addition, FICAC announced that it has closed five cases previously referred by the Supervisor of Elections earlier this year, with notifications of the closures made on July 24, 2024. The closed cases involve various allegations, including:
1. Allegations of corrupt practices related to false declarations by the FijiFirst Party, specifically against the Fiji First Australia Association Incorporated, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and Tito Bainimarama.
2. A complaint against Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Mohammed Saneem for collusion, conflict of interest, and a donation of $10,000 made by Ariff Ali to the FijiFirst Party while holding a civil service position.
3. Complaints involving His Excellency, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and Charan Jeath Singh.

5. A complaint against Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for not declaring an overseas travel allowance.
FICAC also stated that other matters referred by the Supervisor of Elections are still under investigation, and no comments will be made until these investigations are concluded.
