During a celebration in Suva, Fiji’s President Wiliame Kotonivere expressed his appreciation for the Chinese farming community, which has significantly contributed to the nation’s agriculture. “They have played a vital role in cultivating everyday food crops, ensuring our families have access to locally grown vegetables,” Mr. Kotonivere stated. He further acknowledged their efforts in enhancing Fiji’s domestic agricultural exports.

Mr. Kotonivere noted that the festival symbolizes the values of unity and familial bonds. “We are reminded of the importance of these values in our lives and community,” he remarked.
