A strong wind warning has been issued for all Fiji Waters for the upcoming weekend. The Fiji Meteorological Services provided a serious notice stating that rough seas are anticipated to develop. Sailors and fishermen are urged to take necessary precautions and avoid traveling into rough waters.

According to Fiji Met, an east to southeast wind flow is currently affecting the Fiji group, accompanied by a trough of low pressure located to the south. By midday today, east to southeast winds of 20 to 25 knots are projected, leading to rough seas and moderate southerly swells.

Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in various regions, including:
– Serua-Namosi
– Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu
– Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki
– Eastern Macuata
– Southern Bua
– Cakaudrove
– Kadavu
– Lau
– Lomaiviti groups

Other areas are likely to experience cloudy periods with showers and possible isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening. This weather pattern is anticipated to persist across all divisions and outer islands, with the potential for isolated thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and evening.
