Currently, an east to southeast wind flow is affecting the Fiji group, with a trough of low pressure located just to the south. By midday today, winds from the east to southeast are predicted to reach speeds of 20 to 25 knots, resulting in rough seas along with moderate southerly swells.
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in several areas, including:
– Serua-Namosi
– Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu
– Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki
– Eastern Macuata
– Southern Bua
– Cakaudrove
– Kadavu
– Lau
– Lomaiviti groups
Other regions will experience cloudy conditions with showers and potential isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening. This weather pattern is expected to persist across all divisions and outer islands, with similar thunderstorms possible on Saturday afternoon and evening.
