A strong wind warning has been issued for all Fiji Waters for the upcoming weekend. The Fiji Meteorological Services announced that rough seas are anticipated. Sailors and fishermen are urged to take necessary precautions and avoid traveling into rough waters.

Currently, an east to southeast wind flow is affecting the Fiji group, along with a trough of low pressure located to the south. By midday today, east to southeast winds of 20 to 25 knots are expected, which will create rough seas accompanied by moderate southerly swells.

Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are predicted in the following areas: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, Eastern Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups.

Other regions should prepare for cloudy weather with rain and potential isolated thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon or evening hours. This weather pattern is expected to persist across all divisions and outer islands, with possible isolated thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings on Saturday.
