Currently, an east to southeast wind flow is affecting the Fiji region, accompanied by a trough of low pressure to the south. By midday today, winds from the east to southeast are expected to reach 20 to 25 knots, resulting in rough seas and moderate southerly swells.
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecasted for several areas, including:
– Serua-Namosi
– Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu
– Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki
– Eastern Macuata
– Southern Bua
– Cakaudrove
– Kadavu
– Lau
– Lomaiviti groups
Other regions will experience cloudy conditions with showers and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening. This weather pattern is likely to persist across all divisions and outer islands with the potential for isolated thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and evening.
