Having spent nearly 30 years living in Auckland, the pair have always cherished their Fijian roots and found Fiji to be the perfect wedding destination.

Lal, who is from Nausori, is an accomplished entrepreneur operating a courier business, while Chand manages a retail business and hails from Nadi. The couple met in Manukau, Auckland, where they lived together for over six years before deciding to tie the knot in their birth country. “Fiji is our birthplace, and we dreamed of celebrating our marriage here. We feel privileged and honored to have our families and friends join us for this special occasion,” shared Lal.

The couple expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality received during their stay, particularly praising the Novotel Hotel in Lami for their impeccable service and beautifully organized event. “Everything turned out wonderfully,” Lal remarked. The couple was impressed with the venue’s décor and the friendly staff, alongside the exceptional food that was served.

Reflecting on their experience, Lal emphasized the need to celebrate such significant moments in Fiji, citing that every service they encountered, from photography to catering, was handled by exceptionally accommodating individuals. The couple stated, “If anyone wants to get married, do it in Fiji. The service we received was outstanding, and we felt truly supported by everyone involved.”

Moreover, the newlyweds cherish the importance of reconnecting with their heritage and making memories with loved ones, highlighting that life is precious, and spending time with friends and family is invaluable. They expressed hopes of returning to Fiji for the Christmas and New Year holidays and are eager to establish a business in Fiji that would contribute positively to the local community.

This heartfelt story not only showcases the beauty of love and commitment but also emphasizes the significance of roots and community. As the couple embarks on their new journey together, they remain committed to giving back to their homeland, demonstrating how personal milestones can align with broader values of community support and economic contribution.
