Vodafone Fiji Bati head coach Wise Kativerata has announced the team that will compete against the Cook Islands in the second round of the Pacific Bowl this Saturday. James Valevatu is set to start as hooker, taking the place of Penioni Tagituimua, who will move to the bench. Veteran hooker Joe Lovodua is likely to be a reserve option, adding depth to the forward pack if necessary.

Young forward Kylan Mafoa is anticipated to make his debut, joining the interchange bench alongside other crucial impact players. The starting backline remains unchanged, as Coach Kativerata continues to trust his regular players. Sunia Turuva, Maika Sivo, and Michael Jennings will lead the offense, supported by Waqa Blake, Semi Valemei, Kevin Naiqama, and Kurt Donoghoe, forming a formidable backline prepared to challenge the opposition.

Captain Tui Kamikamica will direct the forwards, alongside powerhouse Viliame Kikau, promising a tough test for the Cook Islands. The match is scheduled to kick off at 8:10 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium. Before this encounter, the Fiji Bulikula will take on the Cook Islands in a World qualifying match at 6 PM.
