Fiji Bati Gears Up for Exciting NRL Pacific Championship Showdown!

As the NRL Pacific Championship approaches later this month, the Fiji Bati team is putting the final touches on its plans ahead of their upcoming camp. Coach Wise Kativerata announced that players will gather for training on the 12th of October, while they are currently focusing on individual training.

The team roster, consisting of both experienced and new players, will be finalized following the NRL Grand Final in Australia where the Penrith Panthers face the Melbourne Storm this Sunday. Kativerata mentioned that local players will be evaluated through matches with the Saru Dragons and Fiji Residents.

To ensure a balanced team, Kativerata explained that local players will compete against Samoa, while the Saru Dragons will take on Papua New Guinea. He acknowledged the tight timeframe for preparation, emphasizing the importance of these games for all involved.

As excitement builds for the championship, Kativerata encouraged fans to come out and support the Fiji Bati. The team is set to face the Papua New Guinea Kumuls at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on October 19, followed by a match against the Cook Islands on October 26.
