Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Fiji next year, marking what Rabuka describes as the country’s “golden milestone relationship” with China. During their recent meeting in Beijing, Rabuka emphasized the significance of the 49-year relationship between the two nations. He affirmed that the ties between Fiji and China have remained strong throughout the years. In response, President Xi noted that China and Fiji serve as examples of equitable treatment and amicable cooperation between nations of different sizes. He also advocated for the establishment of a China-Fiji community with a shared future. Additionally, Prime Minister Rabuka and President Xi previously convened in San Francisco last November.
