Following their notable wins against the Australian Schoolboys, Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys head coach Peniona Ranitu expressed enthusiasm about continuing the series next year. Under the leadership of captain Samuela Tuidraki (Jnr), the Fijian team secured a victory with a score of 34-25 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Assistant coach of the Australian Schoolboys, Michael Crank, shared similar feelings, emphasizing the importance of establishing a home-and-away series to bolster rugby in the Pacific region. He remarked that the Australian team faced tough conditions but came away with valuable experience.

Both coaches are dedicated to promoting rugby development in the area and are looking forward to upcoming matches that will enhance both competition and cooperation. In the first match held the previous Saturday, the Fijian team defeated their Australian rivals 26-14, marking Fiji’s first win against Australia at the under-18 level.
