Fiji Airways has submitted an application to the United States Department of Transportation to initiate a new nonstop route between Nadi, Fiji, and Dallas, Texas.
The airline aims to commence this route as soon as it receives the necessary approvals.
According to the application dated July 11, 2024, “Fiji Airways recently acquired new, 334-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft, enabling the airline to expand its route network to include the new service between Nadi and Dallas-Fort Worth.”
Fiji Airways plans to operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays once it secures all required government approvals.
The application states, “Granting this authority aligns with the public interest. Currently, there is no direct, nonstop service from Nadi to Dallas-Fort Worth. Fiji Airways’ proposed service introduces new travel options for traveling to Fiji from a major market in a new US geographic region with convenient connections to the middle and eastern US.”
Fiji Airways presently operates flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco in the USA.
