Fiji Airways has revealed plans to launch a new direct flight service between Nadi, Fiji, and Cairns, Australia, starting on April 10, 2025. According to a company press release, the Nadi-Cairns route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The announcement highlights that passengers in Cairns will benefit from seamless connections to Dallas/Fort Worth through Nadi, providing a quicker travel option to North America and beyond. Fiji Airways is offering promotional fares starting at FJD$ 799 Lite and $899 Value for round trips between Nadi and Cairns, available for booking immediately. Richard Barker, CEO of Cairns Airport, referred to the new service as a significant development for the region, stating that it opens up exciting vacation opportunities for locals and connects them with loved ones. Furthermore, he noted that the expanding network of Fiji Airways facilitates fast, one-stop travel to North America, shortening travel times to cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco by nearly three hours.
