Shaenaz Voss, the former executive general of Corporate Affairs at Fiji Airways, and Sharun Ali, the airline’s general manager of Safety, Security, and Quality, were taken in for questioning at the Nadi Police Station yesterday. Both individuals arrived at the station around midday accompanied by their legal representatives and were interrogated by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department based in Suva.
They exited the police station after 5 PM. Acting Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, confirmed that they were interviewed under caution and subsequently released. Waqa stated that their questioning was related to a breach of the Civil Aviation Security Regulation that occurred in 2018. The investigation is ongoing.
