Fiji Airways has extended its partnership with the Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA), providing discounted travel options for FHTA members participating in international tourism roadshows and trade events.

The renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to create further collaboration, promotional activities, and mutual support among the members. This initiative seeks to strengthen the tourism sector by combining the efforts of both FHTA and Fiji Airways, ultimately enhancing the growth, resilience, and global competitiveness of Fiji’s tourism industry.

FHTA Chief Executive Officer Fantasha Lockington expressed excitement about the renewed MoU, calling it a significant development for the association and the tourism sector as a whole. “We eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration with Fiji Airways and uncovering new opportunities to drive our sector forward,” Ms. Lockington stated.

Fiji Airways Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Andre Viljoen emphasized that this agreement would deepen their partnership and provide meaningful benefits to all FHTA members. “We’re excited to strengthen our collaboration and continue contributing to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry,” Mr. Viljoen remarked.

This updated MoU, which extends the previous agreement that expired on July 31 last year, is now effective through December 2025. The agreement has been broadened to include all 131 members of the FHTA, not just active members such as hotels, resorts, and dive and marine operators.
