Fiji Airways has renewed its partnership with the Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) to provide discounted travel for FHTA members attending international tourism roadshows and trade events. This renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) will also offer enhanced collaboration, promotional activities, and mutual support for FHTA members.
The agreement aims to strengthen the tourism sector by combining the resources of FHTA and Fiji Airways, ultimately enhancing the growth, resilience, and international competitiveness of Fiji’s tourism industry. FHTA CEO Fantasha Lockington described the updated MoU as a significant milestone for both the association and the tourism sector, expressing excitement about future collaboration with Fiji Airways to unlock new opportunities.
Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen also emphasized the importance of the renewed partnership, highlighting its potential benefits for all FHTA members. The previous MoU, which lapsed on July 31 of the previous year, has been extended and revised to last until December 2025. Previously, the agreement was limited to active FHTA members such as hotels, resorts, and marine operators, but it has now been broadened to encompass all 131 FHTA members.
