Fiji Airways has reaffirmed its collaboration with the Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) by renewing a partnership that provides discounted travel to FHTA members attending international tourism roadshows and trade events.
The renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to enhance opportunities for collaboration, promotional activities, and mutual support among FHTA members. This agreement seeks to strengthen the tourism sector by harnessing the combined resources of FHTA and Fiji Airways, ultimately fostering growth, resilience, and global competitiveness within Fiji’s tourism industry.
FHTA chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington indicated that this renewed MoU marks a significant advancement for both the association and the wider tourism sector. “We eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration with Fiji Airways and discovering new ways to advance our sector,” said Ms. Lockington.
Fiji Airways’ chief executive officer and managing director Andre Viljoen emphasized that this MoU would bolster their partnership and provide valuable benefits to all FHTA members. “We are excited to strengthen our collaboration and keep contributing to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry,” stated Mr. Viljoen.
The previous MoU, which lapsed on July 31 of last year, has now been extended and updated through December 2025. Initially available only to FHTA’s active members, such as hotels, resorts, and marine operators, the MoU has now been expanded to encompass all 131 members of FHTA.
