Fiji Airways has renewed its collaboration with the Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA), enabling members to access discounted travel for international tourism roadshows and trade events.
The updated memorandum of understanding (MoU) will enhance cooperative efforts, promotional activities, and mutual support for FHTA members. This agreement aims to strengthen the tourism sector by combining the resources of FHTA and Fiji Airways, ultimately boosting the growth, resilience, and global competitiveness of Fiji’s tourism industry.
FHTA CEO Fantasha Lockington expressed that the renewed MoU marks an important milestone for both the association and the overall tourism sector. She conveyed excitement about continuing the partnership with Fiji Airways and exploring new avenues for industry advancement.
Fiji Airways CEO Andre Viljoen echoed this sentiment, stating that the MoU would enhance their partnership and deliver significant benefits to all FHTA members. He expressed enthusiasm about deepening their collaboration to further develop Fiji’s tourism industry.
The previous MoU, which lapsed on July 31 last year, has now been extended and updated to remain in effect until December 2025. This agreement has also broadened its reach, now including all 131 FHTA members, expanding beyond just active members like hotels, resorts, and dive and marine operators.
