Fiji Airports has entered into a $10.4 million agreement with Australian company RATE to acquire six new aerobridges for passenger use. According to FA chief executive officer Mesake Nawari, this investment is designed to update outdated infrastructure, meet future passenger needs at Nadi International Airport, enhance passenger experience, and boost operational efficiency.
“As part of our terminal expansion and master plan, Fiji Airports has signed a $10.4 million contract for six aerobridges: two new aerobridges to be installed and four to replace the existing ones at the apron, specifically to accommodate widebody aircraft like the A350s,” Nawari stated.
The introduction of three new passenger aerobridges at Gates 1, 2A, and 2B will allow the airport to make optimal use of the parking stands available on the apron.
