Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya has been exonerated following an investigation by FICAC. The anti-corruption agency reported that the inquiries stemmed from complaints made by the Supervisor of Elections in April, which alleged that Ms. Tabuya had failed to accurately declare her income. There were also related allegations concerning her ex-husband, Robert Semaan.
FICAC explained that after evaluating the complaint and conducting an inquiry, it found no obligation for Ms. Tabuya to disclose any financial information regarding her former spouse. The agency noted that she has been divorced from Semaan since 2016, leading to the decision to close the investigation.
