The public will soon learn the names of the members of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) regarding the appointment of FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali and allegations made by the former acting deputy commissioner. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka announced that the Cabinet would convene on Tuesday to create the necessary documentation for the commission’s formation.

The inquiry aims to investigate recent controversies related to FICAC, Malimali, and former acting deputy commissioner Francis Puleiwai. Rabuka stated that the Cabinet paper would also outline the Terms of Reference and a proposed list of COI members. Additionally, he mentioned that the commission could potentially include international members.
