The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF) is urging all employers in Fiji to prioritize adherence to labor laws and create a fair, safe, and productive work environment for their employees. The FCEF’s initiative follows the imposition of penalties on two construction companies in Rakiraki, which were cited for poor working conditions affecting their workers. Edward Bernard, CEO of FCEF, noted, “While the majority of businesses in Fiji, including our members, are responsible employers, FCEF will continue to promote the importance of operating within the labor laws in Fiji.”
