Two individuals lost their lives in a motor vehicle accident on Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning. The deceased were passengers in a car driven by a 30-year-old resident of Lovu in Lautoka. The incident reportedly occurred when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and lost control, leading to the crash. The two passengers died at the scene, while the remaining three were transported to Nadi Hospital with serious injuries. According to Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, initial investigations suggest that speeding and alcohol may have been contributing factors to the accident.
