Family Reunion Sparks Excitement as NRL Star Prepares for Big Game

Litiana Naqatalevu traveled from Beqa Island early yesterday to join the Fiji Bulikula women’s rugby league team during their morning practice at Albert Park in Suva. She spent $100 on transportation to finally reunite with her niece, Losana Lutu, after 12 years apart.

Naqatalevu expressed pride in Lutu, attributing her athletic prowess to her upbringing, saying, “As Losana was growing up, I always knew she would excel in sports.” The 20-year-old Lutu is making a name for herself in the National Rugby League Women (NRLW) in Australia and is expected to be a standout player for the Bulikula team as they face the Cook Islands on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

In anticipation of the match, Naqatalevu mentioned that the villagers in Naceva, Beqa, are preparing banners to support Losana and the team during the game.
