“Exclusive Agri-Tourism Resort Coming to Fiji”

An agri-tourism resort, said to be the first of its kind in Fiji, Vanua Ranch is set to open a boutique villa accommodation in Uciwai, Nadi in 2026.

Speaking at the Asia-Pacific Hotel Industry Conference (AHICE) Fiji Investment in Tourism Summit in Nadi last week, Vanua Ranch director Steve Howard announced that the multi-million-dollar resort will feature 17 luxury villas.

“We fall into a new category of agri-tourism, integrating a farm ranch with a luxury villa resort,” Howard stated. “We will provide a farm-to-table experience, paired with an integrated cultural experience, allowing guests to engage with farming activities firsthand.”

Despite its agricultural focus, the resort will offer stunning views of the South Pacific. It will also feature a common ranch house for gathering, dining, and relaxation by the pool, all with breathtaking views.

“Our ultimate goal is to deliver an unparalleled customer experience while being mindful of sustainability efforts pertinent to Fiji,” Howard added.

Howard shared that the idea for the resort emerged from 15 years of connections with Fijian friends. “When you visit Fiji for the first time, you immediately understand why you want to be here. There’s no other place like it,” he said. “We are grateful to develop this special piece of land and believe Fiji is the ultimate destination.”

He noted that the project had faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “The pandemic caused a slowdown, but our goals remain focused on enriching the cultural experience for visitors to Fiji,” he said. “We will be employing local villagers for most services and aim to give back to the communities through grants and educational opportunities.”

Highlighting Fiji’s unique appeal, Howard said, “Fiji isn’t just about surfing or private islands; it’s about experiencing the authentic Fijian way of life. Fijians excel globally in hospitality, making visitors feel exceptionally welcome.”

The project aims to enhance Fiji’s tourism sector while promoting cultural exchange and sustainable practices.
