The Housing Authority of Fiji today announced the names of 31 individuals who have been awarded residential lots in Mokosoi, Deuba along Pacific Harbour. This announcement follows a barrel draw held on Friday, July 12 at Valelevu.

The event was attended by representatives from the Fiji Police Force, the Ministry of Housing, and HA staff. In his opening remarks, CEO Ritesh Singh mentioned that the project initially included 34 lots. Out of these, 31 were allocated for low to medium-income earners (Class C and D), while the remaining three lots for medium to high-income earners (Class B) will be advertised separately through Expressions of Interest (EOI) from the public.

Mr. Singh stated that the HA received 185 applications via the Housing Authority Online Customer Portal. Each application underwent a comprehensive screening, selection, and objection process as per the HA Lot Allocation Policy 2023. Out of the 185 applicants, 102 provisionally met the criteria, which required them to be first-time homeowners, Fiji citizens, have a combined annual household income of $50,000 or below, demonstrate the ability to purchase a lot and build a house, and be over the age of 18.
