Exciting Development Unveiled in Tamavua: What’s Coming to the Area?

The Yavusa Matanikutu of Tamavua Village is poised to transform the Tamavua area with a ground-breaking ceremony for an 11-acre, multi-million-dollar business park development.

The project is being spearheaded by Blue Horizon Property Group and Pacific Building Solutions (PBS) and is expected to become the first mixed-use retail and office facility in the area.

According to Mark Acraman, General Manager of Blue Horizon Property Group, civil works for Tamavua Central are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of the year with completion targeted for 2027.

Acraman stated that the development has already attracted significant interest from various potential tenants, including businesses, local residents, expatriates, and embassies, showcasing its wide appeal and potential to be the central community hub of Tamavua.

“We are excited to be part of this mixed-use business park project that promises to integrate landowners into the mainstream economy,” said Acraman.

The project is expected to create more employment opportunities, generate downstream business opportunities, and provide rental income from cooperative and retail tenants.

Additionally, this development will enhance local infrastructure, contribute significantly to Suva’s GDP and tax base, and offer unparalleled opportunities for businesses and residents.

Roko Tui Colo Ratu Apenisa Loki, Turaga ni Yavusa, thanked the Fiji government and TLTB for their support and services which have enabled landowners to participate in business developments.

“This is more than just a development; it is a visionary project by Naitasiri Province that will redefine the future of Matanikutu and Tamavua,” said Loki.

Key attendees at the ceremony included Turaga Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Government ministers Aseri Radrodro and Ifereimi Vasu, and PBS Director Rob Seaman.
