R.C. Manubhai Nataleira will host the ‘7/14 Sevens’ tournament at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from December 12-14. Teams interested in participating can now register for the competition, which features a four-tier format.
In Tier 1, 16 champion teams can compete with a registration fee of $500. Tier 2 is open to 32 regular 7s teams, with a fee of $300. Meanwhile, Tier 3 allows for 16 senior women’s 7s teams at a fee of $200. Lastly, Tier 4 is for 16 Under-19 teams, which will have a registration fee of $100.
The tournament offers substantial prizes across different tiers. Tier 1 winners will receive $5,000, while the runners-up will take home $3,000, in addition to other prizes. Tier 2 offers $3,000 for winners and $1,500 for runners-up. For Tier 3, the cup winners will receive $2,000, and the runners-up will get $1,000. Tier 4 winners will earn $1,000 and $500 for runners-up, along with various other rewards for players and teams throughout the three-day event.
Teams are required to pay their registration fees via designated Mpaisa numbers, and they must confirm their entry by sending a message detailing their team name, competition category, fee amount, and payment time. It’s important to note that full payment is required without deposits, and the deadline for registration is December 6.
