The 2024 Viti Futsal Cup is set to kick off with thirty-four teams gathering at the FMF Gymnasium and Fiji FA Futsal Court in Vatuwaqa from July 19-21. Teams will compete in six categories: Under 10 Boys, Under 12 Boys, Under 12 Girls, Under 14 Boys, Under 16 Boys, and Under 16 Girls.
This year’s event features ten teams from Australia and two from the Solomon Islands, along with strong local representation. The local teams include six from the FFA Suva Centre, six from the FFA Rewa Centre, four from the FFA Labasa Centre, and six from the Fiji FA Ba Centre.
Fiji FA Futsal Head Coach Jerry Sam stated that the tournament will play a crucial role in nurturing young talent from various regions and age groups. “With international teams from Australia and the Solomon Islands joining in, it promises to be a competitive and thrilling tournament,” said Sam. “It is a great opportunity for our players to showcase their talents and learn more about the game.”
