A former typist from the Family Court Registry is scheduled to appear in court on December 3 to establish a date for her hearing. Seini Rokosamu is facing allegations of abuse of office, embezzlement by a servant, and obtaining a financial advantage. These charges were brought against her by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

Rokosamu is accused of embezzling $2,600 from the maintenance fund she was responsible for at the Suva Family Court Registry between January and February 2009. Additionally, she allegedly falsified signatures on maintenance payment sheets for three individuals to wrongfully receive approximately $830 on three separate occasions in 2010.

FICAC lawyer Sameea Nisa represented the prosecution during the proceedings.
