Empowering Youth: Tailevu’s Path to Community Leadership

Youth from several villages in Tailevu will soon take part in development training and workshops organized by the Tailevu Provincial Council. The villages participating include Nailega, Nayavu, Nasautoka, and Naloto.

The council plans to provide resources, mentorship, and support, aiming to empower young people to lead and engage in community development projects. This initiative seeks to channel the energy, creativity, and commitment of the youth into activities that meet local needs, promote cultural heritage, and strengthen social ties.

A representative from the council remarked, “The Tailevu Provincial Council is dedicated to nurturing a robust sense of community and leadership among our youth. By collaborating with the young residents of Nailega, Nayavu, Nasautoka, Naloto, and surrounding areas, we aspire to inspire a new generation of leaders who will foster positive change in our province.”

Participants will engage in activities focused on environmental conservation, cultural revitalization, and improving health and education. “Through workshops, training sessions, and hands-on activities, the youth will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to make meaningful contributions to the development of their villages,” the council representative added.

The council emphasized that this collaboration aims to strengthen connections with the younger generation, ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions recognized.
