Empowering Youth: Tailevu’s New Initiative for Community Development

Young people from various villages in Tailevu are set to take part in development training and workshops organized by the Tailevu Provincial Council. The villages participating include Nailega, Nayavu, Nasautoka, and Naloto.

The council has announced that it will provide resources, mentorship, and support, with an emphasis on empowering the youth to take the lead in community development initiatives. This initiative aims to leverage the energy, creativity, and dedication of young individuals by engaging them in projects that tackle local issues, celebrate cultural heritage, and strengthen social bonds.

A representative from the Tailevu Provincial Council stated, “We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community and leadership among our youth.” By closely collaborating with the youth of Nailega, Nayavu, Nasautoka, Naloto, and other villages, the council hopes to inspire a new generation of leaders who will promote positive change in the province.

Participants will engage in activities focused on environmental conservation, cultural revitalization, and efforts to enhance health and education. The council representative added, “Through workshops, training sessions, and hands-on activities, the youths will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the development of their villages.”

Additionally, the council emphasized that this collaboration is intended to strengthen its connection with the younger generation, ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions recognized.
