The Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru, visited Tawake Village in Cakaudrove on August 14 to distribute grants to two local youth clubs. The Veitacini Youth Club and Nagasauva Youth Club were the recipients of these grants.
During his address on International Youth Day, Saukuru highlighted the significance of youth in utilizing digital technologies for global development. He underlined their essential role as digital natives in propelling progress, even amidst challenges such as the digital divide.
The minister encouraged young people to apply their digital skills to promote community development and assured them of the government’s commitment to supporting them in realizing their potential.
Saukuru plans to continue grant distributions in the Macuata region at the Public Rental Board Hall in Labasa on August 15.
