Empowering Women: Jack’s of Fiji Unveils New Store in Nadi

Jack’s of Fiji proudly inaugurated the Rise Beyond The Reef store at Port Denarau in Nadi on Tuesday, highlighting its commitment to supporting local artisans and fostering sustainable development. During the grand opening, Nikul Khatri, director of Jack’s of Fiji, emphasized the significance of this event for both the company and the community.

“This marks an exciting chapter as we further our efforts in supporting local artisans through our partnership with Rise Beyond The Reef. This initiative is not merely a brand but a movement that connects rural women and communities in Fiji to global markets, preserving traditional skills and craftsmanship while creating economic opportunities,” Khatri stated.

He expressed pride in collaborating with Rise Beyond The Reef, an organization dedicated to uplifting communities and showcasing the remarkable talents of rural artisans at Port Denarau. Khatri expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting their eagerness to present beautiful and ethically made products.

“These products embody the stories of women who have crafted them with love and dedication, and it is our honor to help share these narratives with the world,” he added.

Lynda Tabuya, Minister for Women, commended Jack’s of Fiji for providing access to products created by rural women through Rise Beyond The Reef, ensuring that their exceptional craftsmanship and creativity receive the recognition they deserve. “As we unveil this new store, we acknowledge that this is more than just a retail space; it is a platform for women and for all women in Fiji,” she remarked.

Rise Beyond The Reef is a non-profit organization that empowers rural indigenous women and their families in Fiji by designing handmade goods that are ecologically, culturally, and socially conscious while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
