The International Women’s Association (IWA) has proudly announced the success of its PINKtober fundraising lunch, which took place on October 19 at the Nanuku Resort in Fiji. IWA president Judy Compain expressed heartfelt thanks to the Nanuku Resort and numerous small businesses that contributed to making this event a triumph. Their support is crucial for the IWA’s ongoing community efforts.
During the event, Nanuku Fiji’s managing director, Jeff Larsen, along with general manager Tomasi Turukawa, presented an impressive donation of $25,000 to Ms. Compain and her team, significantly bolstering the IWA’s projects focused on women, children, and healthcare initiatives in Fiji.
The IWA also highlighted the invaluable contributions from local businesses that provided items for door prizes, raffles, and auctions, which played a substantial role in the fundraising success. This collaborative effort is pivotal in supporting the organization’s mission to improve the lives of women and children and enhance healthcare services in the region.
Furthermore, Nanuku Resort has established itself as a key partner in the IWA’s endeavors, demonstrating a shared commitment to community welfare and women’s empowerment. The funds raised are intended to assist cancer patients and enhance health initiatives, building on the achievements of prior projects, such as the renovation of the CWM Oncology Ward earlier this year.
This successful fundraising event serves as a testament to the power of community collaboration and support, fostering hope for continued improvements in healthcare and women’s empowerment initiatives in Fiji.
With such initiatives and partnerships, the future looks brighter for the communities benefiting from the IWA’s vital work, showcasing the positive impact of collective dedication to making a difference.
