The Fiji Football Association has announced a collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) to conduct a weeklong grassroots coaching course focused on promoting women’s football in Fiji.
Timo Jankowski, the Technical Director of Fiji FA, highlighted the opportunity this course presents for local coaches to tap into KNVB’s esteemed coach education programs. “KNVB is known worldwide for its high-quality coach education, and their involvement signifies a major advancement in the development of football in Fiji,” Jankowski stated.
Scheduled from October 7 to 11 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, the course will provide training for 33 coaches. Among them, 31 will be local Fijians from various backgrounds, including primary school teachers, players, and district coaches, along with two participants from Tuvalu.
