The Fiji Football Association, in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), will conduct a weeklong grassroots coaching course aimed at promoting women’s football in Fiji. Timo Jankowski, the Technical Director of Fiji FA, highlighted the opportunity for local coaches to gain insights from KNVB’s esteemed coach education programs. “KNVB is acclaimed worldwide for its top-tier coach education, and their involvement represents a major advancement in developing football in Fiji,” Jankowski stated. Taking place from October 7 to 11 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, the course aims to train 33 coaches, including 31 Fijians from various backgrounds such as primary school teachers, current players, and district coaches, along with two participants from Tuvalu.
