Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has urged students at the Fiji National University to pursue quality education to help them adapt to societal changes and achieve their goals. During a visit to the FNU Nasinu Campus, he highlighted the critical role education plays in shaping the future of youth.
“You are in an institution of learning, guided by those who have experienced this journey. Change is a natural part of life. There is always a way to recover; do not lose hope, keep striving, and graduate,” PM Rabuka encouraged the students. He added, “Keep pushing forward; you can succeed, the sky is not the limit for you, but heaven is.”
The Prime Minister was welcomed with a traditional ceremony by the university staff and received a presentation from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba. In expressing gratitude on behalf of the university, Professor Baba reiterated FNU’s dedication to enhancing higher education in Fiji.
“We assure you that FNU will stand beside you and contribute to the future envisioned by the Fijian Government. At FNU, we will align our efforts with the Fiji Government’s National Development Plan,” Professor Baba stated to the Prime Minister. “FNU is committed to following the same direction as the Government.”
