In a recent account shared by Fulori Waqasaqa, a 33-year-old entrepreneur from Namuaimada, Ra, a story of resilience and success unfolds in her journey of establishing a handicraft business in Bulileka, Labasa. After launching her business last year, she has experienced significant support that has not only bolstered her but also benefited her family.

Fulori, who was educated at a primary school in Nasinu, participated in an entrepreneurship program that ignited her passion for business. Despite not initially envisioning herself as a business owner, she has since fully embraced the idea, stating that her dreams are now manifesting into reality.

She specializes in creating traditional handicrafts and has gained popularity among customers, particularly in urban areas where her products are sold. The rise in demand has encouraged her to continuously enhance her skills in crafting various items, including custom orders.

Fulori’s business has thrived, particularly during festive periods, as she receives numerous orders. The cost of her items typically starts at $5, and she often completes around 20 pieces in a day, leading her to potentially earn $200 weekly depending on sales. In busier seasons, such as during significant events, her weekly income could reach as high as $400.

Through her efforts, Fulori is not just supporting her family but also contributing positively to her community. She encourages others in her circle to harness their talents and turn them into viable business opportunities to secure a sustainable livelihood.

Fulori’s story stands as an inspiration, exemplifying how perseverance and determination can pave the way for success. As she continues to grow her business, her journey serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring entrepreneurs, demonstrating that with hard work, it’s possible to achieve one’s dreams and uplift those around you.
