The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, emphasized the significant role of civil servants in the Government’s functionality. Speaking at the 2024 Civil Service Medal Investiture Ceremony (Session 2) at the State House yesterday, he noted, “You are, in fact, the hands of the Government.”
He highlighted their responsibilities, which include implementing government policies, providing essential services to the public, and ensuring efficient administration. President Katonivere stated that their dedication and professionalism are vital for the smooth operation of Government departments and agencies, ultimately benefiting all citizens of Fiji.
“It is through your hard work and commitment that our communities in rural, maritime, and urban areas thrive and prosper,” he said.
