EFL Schedules Major Maintenance on Key Transmission Line: What You Need to Know!

Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) will conduct maintenance on the 132kV Wailoa to Nadarivatu Transmission Line by replacing corroded components on the steel lattice towers. The line is set to be de-energized from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, to ensure the work can be completed safely.

During this maintenance period, power for the Western Division of Viti Levu will be sourced from the Nadarivatu Hydro Electric Power Station and various thermal power stations. EFL appreciates the cooperation of hotels and other customers in the Western Division who will need to go off-grid from 4:00 AM to 6:00 PM to help reduce disruptions and ensure the maintenance is successful. This includes several major resorts and businesses in the area.

EFL aims to minimize power interruptions and has scheduled this maintenance for the weekend when electricity demand is typically lower. If weather conditions do not permit the work to proceed as planned, the maintenance will be rescheduled, and affected customers will be notified.
